Who we are
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ifako-Ijaiye is the umbrella body representing the interests, aspirations, and collective voice of young people across Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.
As the recognized youth council, we are committed to empowering young people through leadership development, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, education, skills acquisition, advocacy, and community service. We serve as a bridge between government, development partners, community stakeholders, and the youth, ensuring that young people have opportunities to participate meaningfully in decision-making and nation-building.
Our mission is to inspire, unite, and empower every young person within Ifako-Ijaiye by creating platforms that promote innovation, inclusion, collaboration, and sustainable development. Through impactful programmes, strategic partnerships, and youth-focused initiatives, we strive to equip the next generation with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become responsible leaders and positive change-makers.
We envision an inclusive and progressive Ifako-Ijaiye where every young person has equal access to opportunities, resources, and support needed to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the community and the nation.
